Here I sit, trying to decide how to word my blog. I'm wanting to write about MY experience with Gastroparesis. It's not the same as everybody's journey that has this dreaded disease. Some parts are the same. We all have nausea and vomiting, but I want to write about my own experience with it.
I started with nausea and vomiting at a very early age. I remember being diagnosed with Lupus at age 15 and from there on the nausea and vomiting became a regular deal for me. The Lupus attacked my gastro system instead of my kidneys. The answer to the question on " How have you done this for as long as you have?" is that I have no choice. I have to because it's the lot I was handed. When you are dealt a hand of cards you play them as well as possible. That is what I've done and am doing. I love my husband very much. He took my hand and married me knowing that I have this and deal with it and was not deterred from the disease at all. Not many men can do this. Jumping back now. As I grew up I vomited a lot. A LOT. I've had numerous surgeries and blood clots. I've been in ICU once and my family was called in that time. Not really sure how many times the family has been called in, but after years of dealing with the pain of surgeries and needles and all else involved I said ,"ENOUGH" to the medical community. This has been in God's hands from day 1, but now it's in His hands alone without doctors jumping for a needle or blade every time. that was very brief, but I think I will write installments on this subject. The Reason is...because God allowed it and I took it on with Him.
