I have a rose bush that Ardell bought for me when I was in Rochester at Mayo. That, along with a Gerber Daisy plant. The rose bush was left outside, as was my Amaryllis that Mandy gave me and when the first frost hit, they both seemed to die. About a week or so ago, when I got home from Hospice house, we saw new leaves sprouting on the Amaryllis, so Ardell re-potted it and put it in a larger pot. It's still growing and indoors on a table under one of our windows in the bedroom so it can get natural light from the sun. Yesterday, he and I were looking at the rose bush. After studying it for a while, we noticed that the branches were not brown. They still had some green, it is just a deeper green. We put it in a house worthy container and set it in the kitchen. The Gerber daisy was already sprouting new leaves, so it's under the same window along with the Gerber plant my Dad gave me, the mini Poinsettia that Dad gave me and the Christmas Cactus that Lora Slocum brought mt at the Hospice House. New life and growth everywhere....even in our plants.
